Martina is a theatre artist and administrator born and raised (mostly) in Ottawa. A regular of the local community and student theatre scene for several years, she is thrilled to be joining the Gladstone’s Board of Directors to support this wonderful venue that is a cornerstone of Ottawa theatre. This is her second time serving on an artistic board, previously as the External Coordinator for Carleton University’s Sock ‘n’ Buskin Theatre Co., of which she is a proud alum. Outside of the arts, she also served as the Director of Publications on the board of the Canadian Science Fair Journal for nearly five years. Combining her love of theatre with her educational background in linguistics, she is an emerging dialect and speech coach passionate about showcasing the diversity of the English language. She hopes to bring her communication and project development skills to the Gladstone as she continues to pursue a career in arts management.
