A tragedy always ends with the death of the hero. What happens if they have no hero? It is only six men with human flaws. What do the ones above think?
This is a truly bilingual show! There will be subtitles projected every night — the French parts will be translated to English and the English parts will be translated to French.
Level Up! is The Gladstone’s flagship mentorship and production initiative, designed to break down barriers for local, emerging, and equity-deserving theatre creators. Generously supported by Ottawa Community Foundation and Canadian Heritage, we are proud to be providing two proven (and promising) artists with fully subsidized access to our Mainstage, professional technical direction, marketing support, and 1-on-1 mentorship from local producer David Whiteley to elevate these “stage-ready” indie works into a fully realized professional runs. It gets right to the heart of our theatre communities’ call: keeping performance space affordable and accessible while building a more diverse, vibrant future for Ottawa-Gatineau theatre.
Francophones & anglophones, students & seniors, queers, weirds, trans, IBPOC and native Canadians alike are warmly invited to join either individual performance or to Level Up! their experience by making your evening a double feature; supporting two of the most exciting voices of the next gen of local theatre makers right here at the Gladstone.

Level Up! est l’initiative phare du Gladstone en matière de mentorat et de production, conçue pour éliminer les obstacles auxquels font face les créateurs de théâtre locaux, émergents et issus de groupes défavorisés. Grâce au généreux soutien de l’OCF et de Patrimoine canadien, nous sommes fiers d’offrir à deux projets un accès entièrement subventionné à notre scène principale, une direction technique professionnelle, un soutien en marketing ainsi qu’un mentorat individuel dispensé par le producteur local David Whiteley, afin de transformer leurs œuvres indépendantes en productions professionnelles abouties.
