Eleanor’s focus is feminist, ecological, and forensic. Her work asks: “How do we tick, when do we tick, where does the emotion live? And what meaning does that hold for us as a society?” Her productions range from experiments in intimate staging to large scale musicals with fire dancers and sword fights along the way. She has worked with actors and audiences from Sioux Lookout to the Sudan. She stages shows in caves, rivers, parks, arts centres and frequently at the Gladstone. Throughout her career she has trained actors, and brought her inclusive practice to community settings where theatre offers expression and celebration for all present.
