When the Gladstone was purchased and renovated in 2007, Betsy was keen to help the new owners make the space a success. With no formal training in anything related to theatre, she started  assembling chandeliers, learning box office processes (before there was an electronic ticketing system), and working at the bar (before we had a liquor license). Over the years she has done every imaginable task associated with FOH, which prepared her for her current role as the Gladstone’s first-ever Front of House Manager. She has been referred to as “the face of the Gladstone.” Betsy is grateful to Steve Martin and the late Marilisa Granzotto and for giving her a chance at a job that she has grown into organically over time—one which utilizes her strengths and gives her satisfaction every single day.
