Krista Hartman is an Ottawa based songwriter originally from The North Country in Canada. She was raised in a small town called Peace River and inspired by her spirited musical family.

Her father was one of 17 children and her mother was one of 11. At family gatherings, everyone sang and played instruments at the campfire, so it was completely natural for Krista to join in her family’s rich musical tradition.
She has released four heartfelt Canadiana records since 2005: Transcend (2020), Constellations (2015), Nostalgia (2010), and Passport (2005).

As a world traveller, Hartman has experienced a whirlwind of musical adventures—from touring live shows across Australia, New Zealand, The
Emirates, South East Asia, The Caribbean and North America—to performing a bi-lingual version of The Canadian National Anthem for the Prime Minister in Toronto.

Hartman’s works are dusty, rare eclectic gems. They promise the listener an experience akin to the works of Neil Young and Lucinda Williams.
