Glengarry Glen Ross

Fiona Currie

By David Mamet

Directed by Geoff Gruson
Featuring Tom Charlebois, Leslie Cserepy, Dale MacEachern, Steve Martin, John Muggleton, Chris Ralph and David Whiteley

June 24-July 12, 2014
Tuesday-Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m.

David Mamet’s Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Glengarry Glen Ross is coming to The Gladstone this summer! Directed by Geoff Gruson and featuring a cast of your favourite Gladstone actors, Glengarry is fast-paced, foul-mouthed and at its core a dark comedy–the story of desperate men trying to make a living in tough economic times. Glengarry takes place inside a cutthroat Chicago real estate office in 1983. Four salesmen are competing to sell worthless properties. The winner gets a new car; the loser is out of a job. The men are so desperate to keep their jobs that they will lie and steal and ruin the lives of others to win.

“A VITAL THEATRICAL EXPERIENCE”
Jennifer Cavanagh, Apt. 613

“An ELECTRIC revival!”
Patrick Langston, The Ottawa Citizen

“HITS ALL THE HIGH NOTES … MOVES WITH A PRIMITIVE SAVAGERY”
Jamie Portman, Capital Critics Circle

“HIGH ENERGY, TIGHT, and an IN YOUR FACE RIDE from lights up to curtain call.”
Alan Mackey, On Stage Ottawa

“Party-Backs”

You’ve heard of “talk-backs”? Well, The Gladstone is having “Party-Backs”. After each of the Friday and Saturday night performances, The Gladstone stage will be transformed into a night club. See the show then stay afterward to dance and drink with the cast and crew. We’ll have karaoke one night, DJ music another and a live band on another night. You just never know what you’re going to get, but one thing is for sure, you’ll have a great time. If you just want to join us for the party after the show it’s only $10 at the door. GET GLADSTONED AT THE GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS PARTY-BACKS!

Presented by Steve Martin
